Fremantle artists and community groups can apply for a funding boost in the latest round of Arts and Community Grants.

Twice a year, in March and September, the City of Fremantle opens its Arts and Community Grants Program and funds up to $10,000 for successful arts projects and up to $5,000 for community initiatives.

Open from 1–31 March 2022, the City is seeking submissions for projects that develop and strengthen Freo’s unique and vibrant arts and cultural sector, as well as programs or activities that meet the needs of isolated groups or encourage positive participation in the community.

The City’s grants program had a proven track record of inspiring and supporting community members to develop their ideas, projects, and events.

Interested applicants are encouraged to check out the grants’ guidelines on the City’s website to determine their eligibility, assessment criteria and information on how to apply.

In addition to the March round of arts and community grants, residents can also apply for year-round funding across sports and recreation, venue support, positive ageing and neighbourhood response.
