Fremantle residents are being invited to have their say on a proposal to redevelop the former Matilda Bay Brewery in North Fremantle.
The proposal for 130 Stirling Highway includes additions, alterations and restoration of the former Matilda Bay Brewery buildings and the addition of three residential towers of 10, 11 and 16 storeys in height.
The proposal has 207 multiple dwellings, a café/restaurant, shop, office, reception centre and industry-light land uses, as well as landscaping, amenity areas, car parking and public realm additions.
The City of Fremantle’s community consultation on the proposal is now open.
Feedback can be provided by completing the online submission form on the City’s My Say Freo website.
Submissions close at 11:59pm, Wednesday 20 July 2022.
The City is hosting a “Talk to a Planner” session at Fremantle Library in the Walyalup Civic Centre on Thursday 14 July at 5.30pm.
Submissions will be reviewed by the City’s assessing officer, who will prepare a report to the Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) which has the final say on the proposal.
Fremantle Council’s Planning Committee will consider the report before it is referred to the JDAP.
