More good news for Fremantle residents, a new IGA is set to open within the FOMO development of Walyalup Koort. A renowned IGA operator is behind the new offering that will bring something special to the shopping mix for Fremantle.
This new supermarket reflects the increasing investment confidence in Fremantle following a list of new retail and hospitality openings across the last few months. Seeing so much investment during the middle of the COVID pandemic gives me lots of confidence about the years ahead for Fremantle and life after COVID.
The IGA will be essential for CBD shoppers with Coles set to temporarily close as part of major renovations and upgrades of the Woolstores Shopping Centre — which will see a hotel, more retail and apartments in the East End of town.
IGA and the other spaces within the fully leased FOMO building are scheduled to open before the end of 2021.
